Anthony D’Silva spearheads the media vertical of the Hinduja group. As the Managing Director of Grant Investrade Limited, he is driving the launch of its Headend-In-The-Sky (HITS) initiative, NXT DIGITAL. He joined the Hinduja Group in 2012.
One of the industry’s most respected thought leaders, D’Silva has over four decades of experience across Media, FMCG, pharmaceutical and more, during which he has worked with respected corporates like the Sun Group, STAR India, Zee Network, Modi Entertainment Network, Godfrey Phillips and Reckitt & Coleman.
D’Silva began his media career in 1992 as the CEO of Modi Entertainment, and in 1997, was a part of the team that launched Zee TV's international business in the UK. After returning to India in 2001, he joined STAR India as Executive Vice-President and consolidated its TV business.
Thereafter, he joined SUN Group as the COO of Sun Direct, in September 2007, and was the face of its DTH business, which grew strongly under his leadership. In April 2010, D’Silva took over as Group Chief Executive, overseeing entire business portfolio of the group, including the television network, radio channels, print products, DTH business and the airline business, SpiceJet.
