Castle Media: Project Consultant

Castle Media, a specialist media and broadcast consultancy, was selected as the technology partner for NXT DIGITAL and have been intrinsically involved in the entire design-to-delivery of the HITS solution for NXT DIGITAL. Castle Media, as the Project Consultant & Programme Managers have been responsible for all technology, network & operational facets, ranging from the design-to-delivery of the Broadcast Centre, the BSS & OSS systems to the network operations. 

The team at Castle Media comprises of experienced broadcast executives, broadcast engineers and information technology specialists, with an average experience of over 20 years in the broadcast and media industry. The team has worked with some of the finest global blue-chip media enterprises; including setting up the world’s first digital video & interactive cable platform for Cable & Wireless UK, setting up India’s premier DTH broadcast centre and service – Tata SKY, delivering an integrated CRM platform for Vodafone UK as well as building out a 3 channel news network for News Corporation. 


Nagravision: CAS and Middleware Partner

NAGRA, a digital TV division of the Kudelski Group, provides security and multiscreen user experience solutions for the monetization of digital media. The company offers content providers and DTV operators worldwide with secure, open, integrated platforms and applications over broadcast, broadband and mobile platforms, enabling compelling and personalized viewing experiences.

NAGRA’s OpenTV connectware solutions provide the core operating software for Set-Top-Boxes and gateways, with a rich and complete feature set for digital TV from basic linear TV to home networking. The solutions are scalable, ranging from low-end “zapper” boxes and PVRs to advanced home gateways, supporting any network type including hybrid networks.


Hansen Technologies: Subscriber Management and Billing System

ICC (Intelligent Customer Care) supplied by Hansen Technologies integrates billing, customer management and care to enable Pay TV multisystem and local cable operators to offer their customers an exceptional and customized service experience.

Hansen’s ICC solution has been conceived to provide a full lifecycle solution, covering all major functionalities needed to manage a Multisystem and local operator’s subscriber base. Platform supports B2B operations between MSO and LCOs through settlements, business and geography specific segmentation and extensive reports. It incorporates Hansen’s vast experience of exclusively serving the Pay Media market (DTH, DTT, Cable, and Multi-screen operators) for nearly 20 years, providing a true best-of-breed solution for billing and customer care.

Thaicom Public Company Limited: Satellite Partner

NXT DIGITAL will facilitate the transmission of digital signals through Thaicom 7. It is manufactured by a leading Asian satellite operator, Thaicom Public Company Limited, established in 1991 with a unique proposition in providing integrated solutions for satellite broadcast and broadband. The company houses high profile engineering teams to provide leading-edge innovative solutions on telecommunication and satellite that answer every need with a full spectrum of services. Until now, Thaicom has launched six satellites into the orbit; three satellites being in operations. THAICOM-5 and THAICOM-6 are the “Hot Bird” broadcasting satellites for Thailand and SE Asia, boarding more than 600 TV channels and having a coverage over Thailand, SE Asia and Africa (also known as “Africom-1”). THAICOM-4 (IPSTAR) is the world’s first broadband satellite and is providing broadband services to 14 countries across Asia-Pacific region. With the unique performance and technology of THAICOM-4, the company has provided its solutions to many countries in the region to enable the broadband connectivity everywhere, and to recover communication networks based on ad hoc requirements.

In September 2014, THAICOM-7 which was built by Orbital Sciences Corporation of U.S.A, and having a capacity of 14 C-Band transponders, covering South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand was launched into 120 degrees East by Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SPACE X) of USA.
